Des Moines Renaissance Faire Food and Drink

Our royal food court will feature many types of food and drink. Several taverns will also serve beers and wines. Here is a listing of our current food vendors as well as some of the food items they offer.

You have much to choose from! From British, Chinese, and German food to good old Americana! There are restaurants to suit every taste, every meal. The Faire is a great day out for the entire family - education, history, and great food.

Food Vendors

	Ames British Foods (new in 2009) - Bangers & Mash, Bangers on a stick, ploughman's lunch, chicken curry & rice, Scotch Eggs, Scones & Cream.

	Bavarian Cafe (new in 2009) - Traditional German food with wiener schnitzel, brats, German beer, and sauerkraut. Bavarians, dutch letters and pastries. For that extra sweet tooth urge, try a strudl!
	Bud's Home Made Root Beer - Serving home made root beer and cream soda.
	Canterbury Tavern - Sodas and adult beverages including beers and rum (though probably not mixed together, unless you ask).
	Crepes and Cream - Ice cream on crepes.
	D&J's Pizza (new in 2009) - Ah, Italia! Fresh pizza by the slice or the pie.
	House of Legs - Giant turkey legs roasted to perfection and served with nothing. What? Did you expect a fork?
	Humphrey's - Ye Ole Famous Funnel Cakes (plain or w/ berries and cream), Fresh Squeezed Lemonade, and English Corn Dogs. The Humphrey family has been serving you the most delicious foods for many generations, while you watch them being made. Food items treat delight that will make you want to come again and again.
	Added 8/29: Poppin Outback - (1st weekend) Olde Tyme Kettle Corn (3rd weekend)
	Lady Lana's - Located in the far back corner of the Children's Realm. Fairy floss (cotton candy - maple flavor and one other flavor), salted pretzel & cheese, jalapeno & cream cheese stuffed pretzels, cinnamon cream cheese stuffed pretzels, caramel apples (on a stick or sliced).
	Off With Your Bread - Soup bowl (French Guillotine). Various soups served in a bread bowl. “Shell Shocking” – refreshing creamy fruit sorbet in natural fruit shell.

	Sir David's Wild Game - The finest in wild game kabobs. Duck, chicken, smoked hog, vegetable and more.
	Summerset Winery - Summerset Winery will be pouring complimentary samples and selling wines by the bottle during the Des Moines Renaissance Faire.
	Two Wenches Coffee & Chocolate Shoppe - Located across from the castle, this quaint coffee and chocolate shoppe features a variety of flavored and iced or blended coffees, cappuccino, espresso, hot chocolate and Tazo hot teas. Chocolate covered strawberries, decadent homemade fudge, chocolate and caramel covered rice crispy bars, a turtle on a stick or a cool frozen chocolate dipped cheesecake make a perfect treat. Or enjoy a chicken or tuna pita sandwich.
	Viking Pavilion - Buffalo burgers and dogs, pickles, jerky.
	Ye Olde Smoothies - Cold strawberry or mango smoothies and hot apple cider for cooler weather. Just south of Main Street, second red building on the right. You can stick your nose in our business any time!
