Who are you? Mike Amos, of Amos' Fabulous Foods

What do you sell? Fabulous Food! Kinky spuds, hot dogs,
brats, hamburgers, Oinker Burgers (ground pork in the shape of pork!),
MaidenRites (sloppy joe), Made-to-order Fried Rice and Made-to-order
Pasta dishes.
Specialties: Our hand-drilled Kinky Spuds & our
Made-to-Order dishes.
Of Note: We're the only Pirate Ship food establishment
in the Des Moines area! We attend renaissance faires in 10 states; it's
wonderful having the best of them in our back yard! We look forward to
great things happening at the Des Moines site!

- Fyne Hats By Felicity - Period Headgear for Past Ages. We have hats to fit peasant, noble and royalty -- all handcrafted to the highest standard by our expert milliner at the best price including Elizabethan Tall hats, Ladies' Riding hats, flat caps, children's Robin Hood hats and various hand blocked felt hats. A wide variety of accessories are also available. Fyne Hats has served Renaissance participants and patrons from coast to coast with continued high quality and excellence.
- Hammer And Thread - Purveyors of fine, handcrafted leather goods and medieval garb. Quality cloaks, dresses, leather mugs, pouches, and much more!
- House of Legs - turkey legs.
- Humphrey's - Ye Ole Famous Funnel Cakes (plain or with berries and cream), Fresh Squeezed Lemonade, and English Corn Dogs. The Humphrey family has been serving you the most delicious foods for many generations, while you watch them being made. Food items are homemade, fresh before your eyes. Funnel cakes are a delicious, refreshing, taste treat delight that will make you want to come again and again.
- K's Bake Shoppe - baked goods and treats (different selection each weekend).
- 8/25: Lords of Leather - leather goods.
- Marc O's - pirate pie (pizza), corn, snowies, and more.
- Miller Lite Tavern - adult beverages including beers and Captain Morgan Rum (though probably not mixed together).
- Off With Your Bread - Soup Bowl (French Guillotine). Various Soups served in a bread bowl. “Shell Shocking” – refreshing creamy fruit sorbet in natural fruit shell.
- Olde Time Kettle Corn - Fresh Popped & Flavored Kettle Corn.
- The Potter's House - Stoneware pottery, both functional and whimsical ware. Ongoing pottery demonstrations daily. This year we are adding a clay making demonstration once daily. We use our feet to mix the clay.
- The Scots Dragon - A Full-line clothing merchant. Though specializing in court gowns and great kilts, we also feature bodices, chemises, skirts; men’s clothing including shirts, trousers, jerkins and tunics, hats for women and men, children’s clothing, flower roundlets, pouches, animal face sporrans and other Renaissance and Celtic accessories. All clothing sold by the Scots Dragon is designed and made by Joanna Alexander. If we don’t have exactly what you are looking for, we will gladly custom make a garment to your measure and specifications.
- Sir David's Wild Game - kabobs.
- 8/25: Steel, Skins and Scents - swords.
- Summerset Winery - Iowa wines.
- Viking Pavilion - Buffalo burgers, dogs, and jerky. Viking themed items.
- Updated 8/22: Two Wenches Coffee & Chocolate Shoppe - Two Wenches Coffee & Chocolate Shoppe - Located across from the castle, this quaint coffee and chocolate shoppe features a variety of flavored and iced or blended coffees, cappuccino, espresso,hot chocolate and Tazo hot teas. Indulge yourself with a hand-dipped chocolate covered strawberries, decadent homemade fudge, chocolate and carmel covered rice crispy bars,a turtle on a stick or a cool frozen chocolate dipped cheesecake. For lunch enjoy a refreshing chicken or tuna Pita sandwich.
- Ye Olde Smoothies - Cold Strawberry Smoothies and Hot Apple Cider if the weather gets cooler. Just south of Main Street second red building on the right hand side. YOU CAN STICK YOUR NOSE IN OUR BUSINESS ANYTIME!

- 8/7: Boars Head Leather - Fine hand-crafted leather goods proudly made in St. Paul, MN will be back again for the second year all three weekends at the main street shop corner. Look for us to provide your costuming needs with hand-made leather mugs and NEW this year cups! Plus pouches, belts, hats, journals, checkbook covers and business card cases.
