The Potter's House - Stoneware pottery, both functional and whimsical ware. Ongoing pottery demonstrations daily. This year we are adding a clay making demonstration once daily. We use our feet to mix the clay. |

Des Moines Renaissance Faire's First Official Merchant! The Scots Dragon - A Full-line clothing merchant. Though specializing in court gowns and great kilts, we also feature bodices, chemises, skirts; men’s clothing including shirts, trousers, jerkins and tunics, hats for women and men, children’s clothing, flower roundlets, pouches, animal face sporrans and other Renaissance and Celtic accessories. All clothing sold by the Scots Dragon is designed and made by Joanna Alexander. If we don’t have exactly what you are looking for, we will gladly custom make a garment to your measure and specifications. |

- McGriffin Games and Gifts - Official Des Moines Renaissance Faire T-shirt, fantasy T-shirts, wooden roses, dragon and fairy statues, wreathes, etched mirrors, and candy.
- Thyme2dream - Circlets, crowns, tiaras, fairy Elven jewelry and buccan-ear adornments.
- Tinne Lune (third weekend) - Medieval, Rennaissance and Fantasy Accessories for Faire and for Fun. Floral headwreaths, pirate beads and dreads, hairsticks, jewelry, purses, fairy horns, sashes, four-point overskirts, hats, trinkets, doo-dads and gee-gaws.
- Wizard Face Painters - Face painting, and daily "kiddie jousts."
Village Marketplace (Guild Hall)
The Village Marketplace received a new permanent roof for the 2009 season.
Some visiting artisans will change from weekend to weekend.
- A Celtic Tradition - (first weekend only) Scottish, Irish and Welsh apparel and gifts including kilts and accessories, and History of Names. They also have a local Des Moines business at 7672 Hickman Rd in Sherwood Forest, Windsor Heights, IA 50324. 515-278-8302.
